Wildwood Teen Arrested on Lewd Charges

A 19-year-old Wildwood man was arrested Monday after being accused of touching a juvenile inappropriately.

The teen was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, and cruelty towards a child.

He was released after posting a $10,000 bond.

The incident was reported Sunday after officers allegedly talked with the 14-year-old girl and her mother. Reports are not clear in regards to what the pair told detectives. However, according to an arrest affidavit, police confronted the man with the allegations and he apparently admitted that he met the girl at the conference room and parking lot at his job, where they kissed.

He is accused of fondling her breast and asked the girl to perform a sexual act.

The affidavit adds that he also allegedly tried to get the girl to sneak out of her home to meet him.

Lewd conduct is a broad category that encompasses many different types of sex crimes, most of which are misdemeanors. However, sometimes these acts are elevated to felony status, especially when a minor is involved, which could could lead to having to register as a sex offender. With that said, it is important that even if you do not think your charge is serious that you enlist the help of an effective Villages Sex Crimes Defense Lawyer at Whittel & Melton.

The whole staff at Whittel & Melton was nice and always ready to help. However, I worked mostly with Jason. He demonstrated that he understood what to expect with our case and better that he cared about what was happening. I was very pleased with the outcome of our case.
