Clermont-Area ATV Accident Leaves One Teen Dead and Injures Another
A 16-year-old Ocoee boy was killed and a 14-year-old Clermont girl was hospitalized with serious injuries this week after an SUV crashed into one of their stalled ATVs in the roadway.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the pair was attempting to tow the unlit, stalled ATV from the road when an SUV glided over a crest in the road and smashed into one of the ATVs.
The 57-year-of the SUV was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
FHP is currently investigating the crash. Charges are pending.
