Winter Garden Man Accused of Having Sex With Underage Teen

A 19-year-old man was arrested last week for allegedly having sex with an under-aged girl he met on a social media website.

The Winter Garden man was charged with lewd and lascivious battery on Wednesday. He has since been released from the Lake County Jail after posting a $5,000 bond.

According to an arrest affidavit, both he and the girl posted on Facebook about the girl’s actual age, which police claim is under 17 years old.

The affidavit also states that the man admitted he knew the girl’s real age when he had sexual relations with her.

According to police, the girl told investigators that after the two had sex, the man said he couldn’t believe he had sex with someone her age, regretted it and then stated he “could go to prison for a long time.”
